Belajar Mengenal Primata Bersama #KawanOwa di Taman Tumbuh Kembang Anak Ceria

Gibbonesia mendatangi sekolah Taman Tumbuh Kembang Anak (TTKA) Ceria, Universitas Negeri Jakarta untuk memberikan edukasi terkait primata pada generasi muda, Rabu, 9 Oktober 2024.

Acara ini merupakan bagian dari rangkaian kegiatan “Road to Hari Owa Sedunia” yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya melestarikan primata, terutama owa salah satu satwa yang terancam di Indonesia.

Kegiatan dimulai dengan pengenalan tentang berbagai jenis primata yang hidup di Indonesia. Anak-anak diajak untuk belajar tentang owa, siamang, orangutan, monyet ekor panjang dan kukang jawa, melalui pembelajaran yang interaktif dan gambar-gambar menarik. Para peserta terlihat penasaran ketika mendengar cerita tentang kebiasaan unik owa yang hidup berpasangan seumur hidup dan bagaimana satwa ini sangat bergantung pada hutan sebagai habitat mereka.

Pengenalan ini dipandu oleh tim Gibbonesia yaitu kak Cahya Riza, yang dengan penuh semangat menjelaskan betapa kayanya keanekaragaman primata di Indonesia. Mereka juga menekankan betapa pentingnya menjaga kelestarian hutan, karena hutan adalah rumah bagi primata dan satwa liar lainnya. Anak-anak diajak untuk memahami peran penting primata dalam menjaga keseimbangan ekosistem.

Setelah sesi pengenalan, anak-anak diajak untuk mewarnai gambar-gambar primata, termasuk owa, sebagai bagian dari kegiatan kreatif. Mereka bebas mengekspresikan imajinasinya dalam memilih warna-warna cerah yang menggambarkan keindahan primata. Aktivitas ini bukan hanya melatih kreativitas anak-anak, tetapi juga memperdalam pemahaman mereka tentang keanekaragaman satwa.

Dalam suasana yang santai dan penuh keceriaan, anak-anak dengan telaten mewarnai, sambil mendengarkan penjelasan dari kak Cahya Riza tentang karakteristik unik dari setiap primata. Mereka juga belajar tentang pentingnya menjaga habitat primata agar satwa-satwa ini tetap lestari dan tidak terancam kepunahan.

Tidak hanya belajar dan mewarnai, anak-anak juga diajak berdiskusi tentang bagaimana mereka dapat berperan dalam melestarikan satwa liar. Anak-anak diajarkan tentang aksi-aksi sederhana yang bisa dilakukan untuk membantu melindungi lingkungan, seperti tidak membuang sampah sembarangan, dan tidak memelihara satwa liar.

 “Kegiatan belajar mengenal primata bersama #KawanOwa di Taman Tumbuh Kembang Anak Ceria menjadi pengalaman yang menyenangkan sekaligus edukatif. Selain mendapatkan pengetahuan baru, anak-anak juga diajak untuk berkontribusi dalam pelestarian lingkungan dengan cara yang sederhana namun berdampak besar. Semoga melalui kegiatan ini, semakin banyak generasi muda yang terinspirasi untuk mencintai dan melestarikan satwa liar, khususnya primata yang menjadi kebanggaan Indonesia,” tutup Kak Cahya Riza tim Gibbonesia.

Melalui acara seperti ini, diharapkan pesan penting tentang pelestarian satwa liar dapat tersampaikan dengan baik, terutama kepada anak-anak, yang akan menjadi harapan masa depan dalam menjaga kelestarian alam Indonesia.
