Lima individu owa jawa yang dilepasliarkan bernama Cepi, Nitnot, Oke, Joan, dan Mowgli. Sebelum dilepasliarkan, owa jawa ini telah menjalani proses rehabilitasi di Yayasan Owa Jawa.
Kegiatan pelepasliaran ini merupakan salah satu upaya yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan populasi owa jawa di habitatnya.
Acara tersebut turut dihadiri oleh Direktur Yayasan Owa Jawa Noviar Andrayani, Administratur KPH Bandung Selatan Lily Kurnia Asih, BBKSDA Jawa Barat, dan perwakilan Taman Nasional Gunung Pangrango.
