Polisi Gagalkan Penyelundupan Owa di Bakauheni

Penyelundupan dua ekor owa berhasil digagalkan Kepolisian Sektor Kawasan Pelabuhan (KSKP) Bakauheni di areal Seaport Interdiction (SI) Pelabuhan Bakauheni, Lampung Selatan pada Selasa (14/9/2021) malam.

Selain dua ekor owa, petugas juga mengamankan tiga ekor burung beo, tiga ekor burung elang dan satu ekor burung kapas tembak. Semua satwa-satwa itu disita karena tidak dilengkapi surat dan dokumen yang sah. Selain itu, sebagian dari satwa selundupan itu merupakan satwa yang dilindungi oleh Undang-Undang.

Kepala KSKP Bakauheni, AKP Ridho Rafika mengatakan satwa-satwa tersebut diamankan dalam giat rutin di pintu masuk Pelabuhan Bakauheni. Menurutnya, satwa hendak diselundupkan ke Pulau Jawa menggunakan angkutan Bus.

“Satwa tersebut dimasukkan ke dalam lima kardus cokelat dan dikirim melalui Bus Lorena dengan nomor polisi B 7066 SU,” kata AKP Ridho Rafika, Kamis (16/9/2021) dilansir dari ANTARA

Selanjutnya, dua orang supir dan kondektur pelaku penyelundupan owa diamankan oleh petugas. Supir bus diketahui bernama Daulat Ridwan Gultom (38) warga Karang Anyar, Jawa Tengah. Sementara identitas kondektur bernama Subur Rahayu (49) warga Bogor, Jawa Barat.

“Keduanya telah dibawa ke kantor KSKP Pelabuhan Bakauheni untuk diproses lebih lanjut. Selain itu, barang bukti satwa liar juga telah disita dan dibawa ke Kantor KSKP,” ujar Ridho Rafika.

Atas pelanggaran itu, keduanya terancam hukuman sesuai Pasal 21 ayat (2) huruf (a) Juncto Pasal 40 ayat (2) Undang-Undang RI Nomor 5 Tahun 1990 tentang Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam dan Ekosistemnya. Serta pelanggaran sesuai Pasal 88 huruf a dan c Undang-Undang RI Nomor 21 Tahun 2019 tentang Karantina Ikan dan Hewan.
