Jaringan Penyelundupan Satwa Dilindungi Terungkap, Berkas Kasus Sampai di Kejaksaan Negeri Kabupaten Tangerang

Kejaksaan Negeri (Kejari) Kabupaten Tangerang menerima pelimpahan tersangka dalam kasus penyelundupan satwa dilindungi dari Bareskrim Mabes Polri. Kamis (9/1) 

Tersangka berinisial NIK (21), yang merupakan warga Kecamatan Kelapa Dua. Kabupaten Tangerang, Banten. Dijerat Undang-undang Nomor 32 Tahun 2024 Tentang Sumber Daya Alam Hayati. 

Dilansir dari poskota.co.id, Kepala Seksi Intelijen Kejari Kabupaten Tangerang, Doni Saputra, menyatakan bahwa saat ini pihaknya telah menerima berkas serta tersangka penyelundupan satwa dilindungi jenis owa siamang (Symphalangus syndactylus). Tersangka ditangkap oleh Bareskrim Mabes Polri saat sedang melakukan pengemasan satwa dilindungi tersebut untuk dikirim kepada pembeli. 

“Tersangka ditangkap di rumahnya di wilayah Kecamatan Kelapa Dua. pada saat itu, tersangka sedang packing hewan untuk mengirim owa siamang via ojek online,” kata Doni Saputra, Kepala Seksi Intelijen

Adapun barang bukti yang disita meliputi dua ekor owa siamang (Symphalangus syndactylus), satu buah kardus, dan sebuah handphone merk Oppo A16 model CPH2269. Barang bukti tersebut disimpan di gudang barang bukti Kejari Kabupaten Tangerang, sementara dua ekor owa siamang dititipkan di Jaringan Satwa Indonesia yang berlokasi di Cikole, Kecamatan Lembang, Kabupaten Bandung.

Doni menegaskan bahwa perbuatan yang dilakukan oleh NIK (21) telah melanggar Pasal 40 ayat (1) huruf d Jo Pasal 21 ayat (2) huruf a UU No. 32 Tahun 2004 tentang Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam Hayati dan Ekosistemnya. Dalam undang-undang tersebut, pelaku penyelundupan satwa dilindungi dapat dikenakan hukuman penjara paling lama 5 tahun dan denda paling banyak Rp100.000.000. Doni juga menyatakan bahwa tersangka akan ditahan di Rutan Kelas IA Tangerang yang terletak di Desa Taban, Kecamatan Jambe, dan selanjutnya akan menjalani persidangan di Pengadilan Negeri Tangerang.

“NIK akan ditahan di Rutan Kelas IA Tangerang dan berkasnya akan dilimpahkan ke Pengadilan Negeri Tangerang untuk dilaksanakan persidangan,” tutupnya.
