Indonesia dikenal sebagai salah satu negara dengan keanekaragaman hayati terbesar di dunia. Dari hutan tropis yang lebat hingga ekosistem laut yang kaya, tanah air kita adalah rumah bagi ribuan spesies flora dan fauna, termasuk satwa liar seperti owa. Namun, maraknya aktivitas manusia di habitat alami owa mengancam keberadaan mereka. Jika Anda menemukan satwa liar dilindungi ini di luar habitat alaminya, maka Anda memiliki peran penting untuk berkontribusi dalam upaya konservasi ini.

Bagaimana Cara Melapor?

Jika Anda menemukan owa di luar habitat alaminya seperti di permukiman, pasar hewan atau di kebun, termasuk satwa yang dipelihara, Anda dapat melaporkannya melalui call center BKSDA yang tersebar di berbagai wilayah di Indonesia. Pelaporan satwa ini sangat penting untuk pelestarian owa serta menghindari kemungkinan interaksi berbahaya antara satwa dengan manusia.

Berikut beberapa langkah yang bisa Anda lakukan untuk melaporkan:

  1. Hubungi Call Center BKSDA Terdekat: Segera hubungi call center BKSDA di wilayah Anda. Pastikan Anda memberikan informasi yang jelas dan lengkap tentang lokasi, jenis satwa, kondisi satwa (sehat / sakit),  serta situasi yang sedang berlangsung. Anda dapat menemukan nomor call center BKSDA untuk setiap provinsi di Indonesia, seperti:

  1. Penyerahan Satwa secara Langsung: Jika Anda menemukan satwa liar yang terluka atau memerlukan bantuan, Anda juga bisa langsung menyerahkannya ke kantor BKSDA terdekat. Petugas BKSDA akan melakukan pemeriksaan terhadap satwa tersebut dan memberikan perawatan yang diperlukan sebelum akhirnya dilepaskan kembali ke habitat aslinya.
  2. Berikan Bukti dan Dokumentasi: Jika memungkinkan, ambil foto atau video untuk mendokumentasikan situasi yang terjadi. Bukti ini akan sangat berguna bagi petugas BKSDA dalam mengambil tindakan yang tepat dan cepat.

Mengapa Perlu Melapor ke BKSDA?

Balai Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam (BKSDA) adalah lembaga pemerintah di bawah Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan yang bertanggung jawab untuk mengelola kawasan konservasi dan melindungi satwa liar beserta habitatnya. Melalui pelaporan ke BKSDA, Anda dapat membantu memastikan bahwa satwa liar dilindungi ini dapat diselamatkan, direhabilitasi, dan dilepaskan kembali ke habitat alaminya, serta mendukung upaya penegakan hukum terhadap para pelaku perdagangan ilegal satwa.
