Jika Anda menemukan owa di luar habitat alaminya seperti di permukiman, pasar hewan atau di kebun, termasuk satwa yang dipelihara, Anda dapat melaporkannya melalui call center BKSDA yang tersebar di berbagai wilayah di Indonesia. Pelaporan satwa ini sangat penting untuk pelestarian owa serta menghindari kemungkinan interaksi berbahaya antara satwa dengan manusia.

Berikut beberapa langkah yang bisa Anda lakukan untuk melaporkan:

  1. Hubungi Call Center BKSDA Terdekat: Segera hubungi call center BKSDA di wilayah Anda. Pastikan Anda memberikan informasi yang jelas dan lengkap tentang lokasi, jenis satwa, kondisi satwa (sehat / sakit),  serta situasi yang sedang berlangsung. Petugas BKSDA akan melakukan pemeriksaan terhadap satwa tersebut dan memberikan perawatan yang diperlukan sebelum akhirnya dilepaskan kembali ke habitat aslinya.
  2. Berikan Bukti dan Dokumentasi: Jika memungkinkan, ambil foto atau video untuk mendokumentasikan situasi yang terjadi. Bukti ini akan sangat berguna bagi petugas BKSDA dalam mengambil tindakan yang tepat dan cepat.

Balai Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam (BKSDA) adalah lembaga pemerintah di bawah Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan yang bertanggung jawab untuk mengelola kawasan konservasi dan melindungi satwa liar beserta habitatnya.
